I first met Robert Pasin (President and CEO of Radio Flyer) in 1996. We were working together to develop a promotional line for their 80 year anniversary.
The goal was to create a fresh campaign to introduce their expanded product line and reintroduce their traditional brand to a new, younger, target audience.
We bounced ideas around and reviewed tons of old print collateral.
There was no getting around it, Radio Flyer
is the little red wagon. So we based the new brand labels on the wagon that
started it all- #18.
Using a photograph of their “Worlds largest wagon” as
reference, we re-invented #18″ and made it the centerpiece of the campaign.

The campaign was a success. The new signature images translated well across a wide variety of media and promotional materials.
I still wear my No18 shirt. Our kids will be remember this “new” Radio Flyer brandĀ for years to come…
