Washburn Guitars creates some of the world’s most unique guitars for their clients and in some cases, their clients have their own design vision. This is how I was introduced to Washburn.
Dimebag Daryl from Pantera was a creative genius who lived for his music and his fans. He cultivated a persona and lifestyle that was a consistent with his vision for Pantera. So when Washburn wanted to promote Pantera, Daryl had a unique vision.
Working from Daryl’s skecth on a napkin, I began to develop the promotion. I resourced a local illustrator whose style was the perfect compliment to Daryl’s style. The final design was a hit ultimately featured on the cover of Guitar Player magazine.
Washburn wanted to promote their PS 2000 designed for Paul Stanley.
Working with Paul Stanley’s faxed drawings I began developing a design. I developed an illustrated portrait that was just the thing that Paul Stanley was looking for.
